November is a month for gratitude in many photography groups. I suppose it could be because of Thanksgiving being celebrated in the states this month, but whatever the reason I enjoy reading posts about gratitude.
I'm grateful for many things and I could fill this entire blog with my list. But one thing I'm particularly grateful for is the way photography in general, and jumping pictures specifically, allow me to meet so many wonderful people. That might surprise some folks but if you are reading this then my guess is you understand what I'm saying. After all, the title of this blog is "Jumping Pics Will Save the World".
About a year ago I met Nam on Flickr and we've kept in touch through our photography ever since. Earlier this fall she emailed me and said she was coming to Utah for a visit and wondered if we could meet and take some jumping pictures. I screamed like a kid at Christmas!
This week we met in person and I just about killed her doing jumps :) Her mom and dad were with her and they are visiting from Thailand. Is that awesome or what! No doubt they'll have plenty of stories to tell friends and family back in Thailand about a crazy American that had them and their lovely daughter jumping all over northern Utah.
I'm sad that Nam is heading back to Texas but I sure am grateful that we met.
